Lion and Lioness Framed Print
This framed print of a Lion & Lioness is from the original oil painting by the Hungarian Artist, Geza Vastagh (1866-1919) and which was painted in 1899. The original was then purchased by the Pears Soap Company, re-named "British Lions", and used as publicity for Pears Soap Products. This print certainly has some age, and probably dates from the 1940s. The frame is of a style usually made in the early part of the 20th Century, is limed, and overall everything is in very good condition.
The frame measures 88cm wide X 66cm high, and the print itself measures 70cm wide X 48cm high.
